Yes. Our installers will need you to check your WiFi connection after install. Install takes about 2-4 hours. The homeowner will need to provide an outlet for the Wicked Power Supply and router.  

Wicked connects you to the fastest and best wireless fiber internet product in Park City. It cost Wicked $840 to connect a new customer to our network, and we do not have long-term contracts, so the $299 covers the customer's share of the install. The variable install fee for the 5G business plan scales depending on how far away from our tower you are and what speed you need.

The Wicked managed router reports the health of your connection to our engineers at our 24-7 NOC. With a managed router, our service and factory techs can upgrade the system firmware and make adjustments instantly without sending a tech to visit your home. Managed routers have a $6.95 per month service fee.  

Cable technology is over 50 years old and is very slow and outdated by today's standard. Over 10,000 cable subscribers will cancel their cable and switch to streaming internet today, are you one of them? Wicked is much faster and more stable than most cable internet providers. With our 5G unlimited plans you will see speeds over 100 Mbps each way and latency usually under 5ms. Most cable products will have very slow upload speeds, higher latency and very unreliable download speeds. 

Bundles are designed by cable companies to keep you stuck in overpriced contracts. With Wicked, cancel your bundle and just buy the streaming and phone programs you want. You can buy streaming packages identical to your cable product at a lower price - add a VoIP phone with OOMA and you have a bundle that you control and turn off at any time. Each company has their own wireless coverage map, so just because another company is limited in your area, does not translate taht Wicked cannot deliver excellent service to you. If you are in a radio hole, Wicked can work with your HOA to deliver a private wireless connection to your HOA area. We usually do charge a fee to the HOA for the engineering of the high bandwidth fiber backhaul and access point equipment. So the short answer is maybe. If we can get a line of site to one of our towers, then yes. 

Wicked 5G service is delivered by our roof mount 5G radio that is connected by ethernet to a router in your home provided by Wicked. You plug in your WiFi to our router. We suggest the Orbi AC3000 RBK53.

Wicked provides a router as part of our simple install. Your WiFi connects into our router at port 2. We do suggest upgrading your WiFi tot he Orbi AC3000 RBK53 to handle the speeds that Wicked will be provided to you. Some older WiFI maxes out at 100 Mbps and we will be delivering speeds greater than that. 

Wicked hires professional subcontractors for all our installs. These installers are paid a flat rate by Wicked to complete our Simple Install which includes mounting a 5G radio to your home and connecting that radio with a cat6 cable to a Wicked router located in a room with an exterior wall. The install tech is available for direct hire by you for consulting, network upgrades or running cat6 to other rooms, The price and payment for extra work requested by homeowner and provided by subcontractor is not part of the Wicked simple install. The Wicked installer will also connect and program a customer provided Orbi AC3000 RBK53 at no additional charge at the time of install.

Great Question. And this does not happen to everyone. Our install tech will position your antenna on your home for the best line of sight with one of our towers. Sometimes there may be a tree that bends in the wind and obstructs the line of sight. The antenna is also precision aligned and high wind will cause the radio on your roof or the radio on the tower to momentarily flex out of absolute perfect alignment.  

The 5G radios Wicked deploys for high-speed internet are precision aimed. Sleet and ice and heavy snow may sometimes block that precision beam. Normal rain and normal snow will not affect your radio. Wind-driven snow drifts on your roof may also slow or drop the connection.  

You will see speeds on the Wicked network far above 100Mbps and some older or cheap WiFi routers cannot handle the speed delivered by Wicked 5G. If you are on a Wicked 5G plan you should upgrade your WiFi system to an AC mesh system like the Orbi AC3000 RBK 53.

There are many moving parts in the internet chain between you and the server that is PROVIDING the content you requested. Although YOUR connection speed in Park City is Wicked FAST, it is possible that the server you are accessing on the "Other End" may be overloaded or the internet connection on the "Other End" may be slow. If Netflix is fast, and the unbranded stream is slow, then the problem is not you, it is at the other end. You will find slow video from overloaded servers. Wicked uses peering for Netflix so you connect to Netflix in Salt Lake City instead of Los Gatos California, home of Netflix. Some third party or most illegal content is hosted in a bedroom closets in Russia or China, and there is your problem.
